Freemasons who have completed their duties as a Craft Mason and have obtained their Third Degree, may apply to join the Scottish Rite for additional Masonic education and fellowship. In the Southern Interior of BC there are two Scottish Rite Valleys – Kamloops and Vernon. Our Mother Valley is Vernon where Scottish Rite was formed in1928.

Degrees 4 through 14 are provided by a Lodge of Perfection in each Valley and similarly, Degrees 15 through 18 are provided by a Chapter Rose Croix:

Our new Morning Star Consistory is primarily a federation of Scottish Rite Freemasons from the Valleys in Kamloops and Vernon but our membership spreads throughout the whole Southern Interior of BC and beyond. Any Scottish Rite Freemason who has obtained the 18th Degree can make application to join our Consistory for Degrees 19 through 32. Morning Star Consistory is seated in the Valley of Vernon.

Morning Star Consistory acknowledges and yields allegiance to the Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada whose Grand Orient is in the City of Hamilton in the Province of Ontario.
